MITCHELL — The Brookings cheer and dance teams competed in the Mitchell Cheer and Dance Invite on Thursday night.
The Bobcat cheer team finished in fourth place in the competition. They had a score of 261 and had no deductions. Harrisburg won the cheer competition with a score of 290. O’Gorman came in second (266.5) and Sioux Falls Jefferson finished in third (266).
The Brookings dance team competed in two events. The Bobcats came in 12th place in hip hop with a score of 202. They did not have any deductions. Brookings also came in 12th place in the pom portion of the competition with a score of 210.5. The Bobcats didn’t have any deductions in pom as well.
The Bobcats will compete again on Sept. 12 in the Yankton Invitational. That competition is set to begin at 5 p.m.
