BRANDON — The Brookings Bobcats fell on the road as they were swept by Brandon Valley in three sets on Tuesday night.

The Bobcats were competitive in the first set, falling by a score of 30-28. But the Lynx took control from there, winning the second set 25-13 and the third set 25-15.

Arielle Ferrell and Macy Even led the Bobcats offensively with eight kills each. Rylee Thompson had seven kills while Kymber Buys had four kills and Kamryn Streich had one kill.

The Bobcats also had four aces with Streich notching two aces and Mordan Norgaard and Thompson posting one ace each.

Buys led the Bobcats with a team-high 13 assists. Streich had 11 assists while Logan Smidt and Norgaard each had one assist.

Norgaard led the Bobcats with 16 digs. Buys had nine digs, Streich had five digs, Even had four digs and Thompson and Smidt each had two digs.

Buys, Lily Thompson and Lydia Walker had two blocks each. Even and Ferrell each had a block.

The Bobcats fell to 8-4 on the year and will play their first home match of the season when they host O’Gorman at Bob Jostad Gymnasium at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
