REDFIELD — The Sioux Valley Cossacks finished in fourth place as they took part in the Redfield Invitational at the Fisher Grove Country Club on Tuesday morning.

The Cossacks finished with a team score of 324, which was 44 strokes over par of 280. Aberdeen Roncalli finished in first place at the tournament with a team score of 307 followed by the Watertown JV squad, who finished second with a score of 315.

Groton finished ahead of Sioux Valley with a score of 316, followed by the Cossacks, Milbank (332), Sisseton (354) and Redfield (370).

Maverick Nelson had the top score for the Cossacks, finishing fourth with a score of 74. Tate Steffensen also finished in the top ten, finishing seventh with a score of 77.

Damon Uecker finished 16th after a round of 83, Nate Larson shot a 90 while finishing 26th. Patrick Quale finished 28th after shooting a 91 and Landon Hanssen finished 31st after shooting a 94.

Aberdeen Roncalli’s Finn Anderson won the invite with a score of 70, followed by Milbank’s Janathan DeBoar (71), Watertown’s Gavin Neynes (72), Nelson and Groton’s Brevin Fliehs (74).

The Cossacks will hit the links again on Monday when they compete in the Watertown Invitational beginning at 10 a.m.
