MARSHALL, Minn. — The Brookings Bobcats lost in an interstate matchup as they fell to the Marshall Tigers in three sets on Thursday night.
Despite the loss, the Bobcats played well in two of the three sets, losing the first set by a score of 25-23, the second set 25-10 and the third set 25-22.
Macy Even led Brookings with nine kills while Kymber Buys had seven kills. Rylee Thompson also had four kills for the Bobcats.
Kamryn Streich had a team-high 11 assists. Buys also had seven assists.
Brookings had seven aces including two aces each from Lydia Walker and Rylee Thompson. Tess Burns, Even and Buys each had one ace.
Even had 15 digs while Morgan Norgaard finished in double-figures with 10 digs. Logan Smidt had six digs. Buys had five digs.
Burns, Walker and Buys each had two block assists. Arielle Ferrel and Rylee Thompson each had one block assist.
The Bobcats fell to 10-8 with the loss and will travel to Sioux Falls Jefferson for a match at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
