LAKE PRESTON — The Sharks jumped out to an early lead and never let up to defeat the Raiders 63-34 on Thursday night.
The Sharks took an 18-10 lead at the end of the first quarter and led 36-17 at halftime. ILP extended its lead to 53-26 at the end of the third quarter and won the fourth quarter 10-8 to finish the game.
Adison Moore finished with a game-high 26 pounds and eight steals for teh Sharks while Hadlee Holt had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Kera Dubro had eight rebounds for the Sharks while Faith Steffensen had three steals and two assists. Moore and Holt each had one block as the Sharks shot 43.1 percent from the floor.
Julia Trygstad and Emily Matson led the Raiders with 12 points each.
The Sharks will travel to Arlington on Monday night after winning their season opener while ORR fell to 0-2 and will travel to Deubrook Area on Dec. 14.
