BROOKINGS — Head coach Damion Hahn announced the addition of four tranferss to the Jackrabbit wrestling program on Tuesday.

South Dakota State wrestling adds Zach Glazier, Cade Siebrecht, Cobe Siebrecht and Drake Rhodes, who all wrestled for the University of Iowa last year.

Glazier is coming off a year at Iowa where he went 25-4, including 14-4 in dual matches and 9-4 against ranked opponents. He finished as the runner-up at 197 pounds at the Big 10 Wrestling Championships and earned his first NCAA Tournament qualification.

Glazier adds just as much off the mat as he does on as he is a two-time academic All-Big 10 Selection and an NWCA Scholar All-American.

Cobe Siebrecht is coming off a year at Iowa where he did not compete in 2023-24, the year before Siebrecht was an NCAA qualifier at 157 pounds and finished seventh at the Big 10 Wrestling Championships. Siebrecht posted a 14-8 overall record and an 11-6 record in duals. He also went 6-7 against ranked foes.

To go along with his success on the mat, Siebrecht was also a three-time academic All-Big 10 Selection.

Cade Siebrecht is the younger brother of Cobe and competed at several opens for the University of Iowa in 2023-24. Siebrecht put up a 9-4 record which included a second-place finish at the Pat “Flash” Flanagan Open and a third-place finish at the Luther Open.

Drake Rhodes posted a 16-5 record in four tournaments last year for Iowa. He finished second at 165 pounds at the Luther Open and Pat “Flash” Flanagan Open. He was also an academic All-Big 10 Selection in 2023-24.

These transfers join an SDSU wrestling program after a very successful year in 2023-24. The Jackrabbits and Hahn qualified eight wrestlers for the NCAA Championships and brought home a school record four All-Americans.
