SIOUX FALLS — South Dakota State’s Sylvie Zgonc was named the Summit League Volleyball Offensive Peak Performer of the Week on Tuesday by the conference office.
Zgonc, a sophomore outside hitter, was named MVP of the Georgia State invitational and had 56 total kills and 5.60 kills per set this weekend. The Hartford, Wis., native hit .414 against Florida A&M in the season opener and matched the program record with 25 kills in that three-set match. Zgonc also led the Jackrabbits on the defensive end with 3.3 digs per set. Powered by Zgonc, SDSU is 3-0 to start the season for the first time since 2010.
