The Medary Creek Beavers held their monthly meeting in Brookings at the Brookings County Outdoor Adventure Center on Nov. 12. Nineteen members and one leader were present.

Maddisyn called the meeting to order. Carli led the flag pledge and Kate led the 4-H pledge. The roll call was “What is your favorite food for Thanksgiving?”

Old business discussed: Hobo Day Parade.

New business discussed: 2023-24 4-H enrollment opened Oct. 1. Members need to pay club dues and insurance for the new year. The 4-H Recognition Event was Nov. 14.

Community service and 4-H promotion: Members present went to Walmart and purchased items for “Sponsor a Thanksgiving Dinner,” and gifts for the Angel Tree. Members did bell ringing for the Salvation Army at Walmart on Nov. 21. Members also delivered phone books on Nov. 19.

Next meeting will be Dec. 3 at the Brookings County OAC at 4 p.m.
