BROOKINGS — The Mission of the Month for August at Mission Coffeehouse at First Lutheran Church is Kingdom Boundaries Prison Aftercare. From prison walls to the freedom found in Christ’s boundaries.
The organization’s mission is to lower recidivism (the return rate of inmates that return to prison). Kingdom Boundaries Prison Aftercare fosters Christian character one person at a time. Its mission is to form healthy relationships between Christian mentors and former offenders. This is done regardless of the former offender's past indiscretion.
KBPA’s goal is to help former offenders safely re-enter society and re-build family units. The group will come alongside and help them discern God’s love and direction for their life. The organization makes available practical assistance to help them become productive and independent citizens. Kingdom Boundaries Prison Aftercare relies on contributions from individuals and groups. It is recognized as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
