Five members of the South Dakota State golf programs were honored with Academic All-District recognition by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday. The teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom.

Luke Honner, Alex Kandolin, McKenzie Mages, Piper Stubbs and Shakira-Ann Kuys were recognized.

• Luke Honner: Sophomore, Sioux Falls, 3.73 undergraduate GPA in psychology.
• Alex Kandolin: Graduate, Rapid City, 3.72 undergraduate GPA in human biology, 3.67 graduate GPA in human biology.
• McKenzie Mages: Sophomore, Sioux Falls, 4.0 undergraduate GPA in communication studies.
• Piper Stubbs: Junior, Beaumaris, Australia, 3.90 undergraduate GPA in political science and criminology.
• Shakira-Ann Kuys: Junior, Port Augusta, Australia, 4.0 undergraduate GPA in psychology.
