Colman-Egan rallied to defeat Wilmot and Oldham-Ramona/Rutland hit the road to take on Chester in Tuesday night’s boys basketball action.
• Colman-Egan 67, Wilmot 57
COLMAN — The Colman-Egan Hawks used a second-half comeback to defeat Wilmot 67-57 on Tuesday night.
Wilmot led 17-12 at the end of the first quarter and 34-29 at halftime but the Hawks cut the lead down to 45-43 at the end of the third quarter and out-scored Willmot 24-12 in the fourth quarter to earn the win.
Jack Mousel had 21 points, eight rebounds, six steals and two assists while Jase Mousel had 20 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block. Jackson Zwart had 12 points, seven rebounds and five assists while Taylor Kriech had 10 points, four rebounds and a steal.
Colman-Egan shot 42 percent in the game including 7-of-23 (30.4%) on 3-point attempts. The Hawks made 12-of-22 (54.5%) free throws and committed 18 turnovers.
The Hawks improved to 5-10 on the season and will host Deubrook Area on Friday.
• Chester 71, Oldham-Ramona/Rutland 51
CHESTER — The Flyers took a 20-6 lead at the end of the first quarter but the Raiders cut the lead down to 27-18 at halftime. Chester extended its lead to 49-38 at the end of the third quarter and out-scored the Raiders 22-13 in the fourth quarter.
Caden Hojer led ORR with 19 points and 13 rebounds while Cooper Merager had 16 points and seven rebounds. Boyd Pooler and Brennan Bickett each had four assists while Brayden Hanson had three steals.
Jovi Wolf led the Flyers with 24 points and seven rebounds while Layke Wold had 11 points and nine assists and JD Prorok had 10 points, nine rebounds and five steals. Brayden Schut also had three assists in the win.
The Raiders fell to 3-13 with the loss and will travel to Canistota on Thursday night.
