The Phi U puzzle tournament was Feb. 4 at the First Lutheran Church gym in Brookings. The last team finished its 1,000-piece puzzle in about four hours.
In the left column of photos, from top to bottom, are: Adult division (first place) — completed a 1,000-piece puzzle in 1 hour 47 minutes: From left are Olivia Forman, Janelle Harms, Rebecca Weber and Danielle Harms; this team also won the 2023 tournament; adult division (second place) — completed a 1,000-piece puzzle in 1 hour 55 minutes: From left are Monica Cooper, Gertt Cooper, Cindy Eliason and Courtney Wenande; family division (first place) — completed a 500-pieces puzzle in 1 hour 15 minutes; from left is the Daum family, with Jess Daum assisted by children Ruby and August; Brookings County Youth Mentoring Program fifth grade division (first place) — mentee and mentor completed a 300-piece puzzle in 1 hour 7 minutes.
In the right column of photos, from top to bottom, are: BCYMP fifth grade division (second place) — mentee and mentor completed a 300-piece puzzle in 1 hour 31 minutes; BCYMP ninth-10th grade division (first place) — mentor and mentee completed a 300-piece puzzle in 1 hour 17 minutes; BCYMP ninth-10th grade division (second place) — mentor and mentee completed a 300-piece puzzle in 2 hour 12 minutes.
