BROOKINGS — The Brookings Bobcats finished in fourth place as they hosted the BHS Bill Scholten Invitational at the Brookings Country Club on Thursday afternoon.
The Bobcats finished with a team score of 352 which finished behind Mitchell, who won the tournament with a score of 308, Watertown (317) and Aberdeen Central (325). Yankton rounded out the top five with a score of 354.
Brookings was led by Delilah Fuls, who tied for 10th place with Aberdeen Central’s Morgan Jones and Sioux Falls Lincoln’s Abbie Westra by shooting an 81.
Aubrey Knutzen finished tied for 17th after shooting an 85 at the inviational while Miyah Foerster tied for 21st with a round of 86 and Kamryn Streich rounded out the team scoring and tied for 44th with a score of 97.
Josie Bertrand also competed for the Bobcats, finishing tied for 53rd with a score of 105.
Mitchell’s Allison Meyerink won the invitational with a score of 71 and was followed by O’Gorman’s Erin Hurd, Aberdeen Central’s Emma Doher and Watertown’s Shelby Pearson, who each tied for second place with a round of 74. Mitchell’s Maddie Childs finished fifth with a score of 75.
After Thursday’s tournament, the Bobcats will head to Yankton for the ESD Tournament on Tuesday. The conference tournament will take place at the Fox Run Golf Course at 10 a.m.
