Saturday, March 23
1:34 a.m. BPD officers conducted a traffic stop resulting in an arrest for DUI.
10:27 a.m. Police investigated a report of identity theft
12:25 p.m. While on patrol, an officer observed a vehicle that had been vandalized while on patrol. A report was generated
1:57 p.m. Police responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury accident.
2:38 p.m. Law enforcement arrested a driver for DUI.
2:50 p.m. Officers responded to a traffic complaint.
3:42 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of a fake driver’s license.
3:47 p.m. Brookings police assisted the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office. A report was filed.
5:44 p.m. Officers responded to disturbance. The case is still under investigation.
7:05 p.m. Officers were dispatched for a minor single- vehicle accident. A citation was issued.
7:06 p.m. A hit-and-run accident was reported in which a vehicle struck a street light post and then drove away. The vehicle was not located.
9:36 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a street sign stolen, the sign was located
11:09 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop resulting in the arrest of one individual for DUI.
11:52 p.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Main Avenue South and First Street South. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI.
Sunday, March 24
12:38 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop resulting in one individual being arrested for DUI.
12:43 a.m. Police officers were called to a welfare check in a motor vehicle. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
2:21 p.m. Officers took a report of shoplifting.
Monday, March 25
4:47 p.m. Officers took a city non-injury accident report.
8:46 a.m. Brookings Police Department took a report from Department of Social Services in regard to a sexual assault that would have occurred in Brookings. This report is under investigation.
10:45 a.m. Officers responded to the 400 Block of 15th Street South for a burglary complaint. A report was generated.
11:46 a.m. Brookings police conducted a welfare check.
11:07 p.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a welfare check.
Tuesday, March 26
5:33 p.m. Officers started an investigation.
Wednesday, March 27
9:20 a.m. Brookings police were advised of a possible swindle taking place in the city.
11 a.m. Officers took a report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident.
11:51 a.m. Officers were made aware of an assault that had taken place in the 900 block of Fifth Street South. An investigation is ongoing.
12:28 p.m. Officers received a report of an alleged sexual assault.
2:52 p.m. Officers were made aware of an assault that had happened in the 500 block of Elm Avenue.
4:16 p.m. Officers responded to Western Avenue and Sixth Street for a two-vehicle non -injury accident.
8:46 p.m. The Brookings Police Department received a request for an identification check on a driver’s license that was left at the bar. The license was fake. The owner was located and cited.
Thursday, March 28
1:13 a.m. Police officers responded to a domestic disturbance. One individual was arrested.
1:17 p.m. Police took a report of identity theft.
2:38 p.m. Law enforcement investigated a minor two-vehicle accident.
