YANKTON — The Brookings competitive cheer and dance teams competed in the Yankton Invite on Thursday night.
The Bobcat cheer team finished in fifth place in the competition. Brookings had 241 points and just a one point deduction.
The Brookings dance team came 11th in the grand champion dance category with a score of 193.75. The Bobcats came in eighth in pom with a score of 190. They had zero deductions in that category. Brookings finished in eighth in hip hop as well with 197.5 points. The Bobcats had three points of deductions in hip hop.
Brookings will compete in the Huron Invitational next on Tuesday. That competition is set to begin at 5 p.m.
