BROOKINGS — After reaching the Class AA state championship game in its inaugural season, the Brookings Bobcats had four players named to the All-Eastern South Dakota Conference Team and two players named to the Class AA All-State team.
Gracie Adamson was named to the All-ESD and All-State teams after a terrific season both at the plate and in the circle. The senior hit .481/.525/1.077 with six home runs last season. Adamson was solid in the circle as well with a 1.60 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 115 strikeouts in 78.1 innings over 14 games (13 starts).
Infielder Morgan Norgaard also made the All-ESD and All-State teams as the sophomore hit .407/.493/.695 with a home run last season.
Catcher Morgan Linstad made the All-ESD team and was an All-State honorable mention after hitting .409/.438/.864 with six home runs during her senior year.
Outfielder Kymber Buys was named to the All-ESD team after hitting .328/.418/.672 with four home runs in her sophomore season.
The Bobcats compiled a 16-4 record this spring and advanced to the state tournament last spring before falling to Sioux Falls Lincoln in the Class AA state championship game.
