Saturday, April 30

1:16 a.m. Brookings Police stopped a motor vehicle. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence and possession of a loaded firearm while intoxicated.

2:03 a.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for moving violations. The driver was arrested for DUI.

5:46 p.m. Officers took a report of a motor vehicle accident in the 1000 block of Third Street.

8:49 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of theft in the city of Brookings. A report was filed.

9:30 p.m. Officers responded to the 600 block of Eighth Street South for a report of a hit-and-run vehicle accident. A report was filed.

10:37 p.m. Officers responded to the 300 block of Medary Avenue South for a report of aggravated assault. The reporting party stated, on April 29 and April 30, around 10:30 p.m., a vehicle shined its lights into the window of the home, pointed a firearm at the reporting party and left.

Sunday, May 1

4:23 a.m. The Brookings Police Department located damaged city property in the 400 block of Fourth Street. Brookings Municipal Utilities was contacted, and a report was filed.

8:53 p.m. Officers took a report of a burglary in the 300 block of Harvey Dunn. The incident is under investigation.

Monday, May 2

2:15 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the Brookings County Detention Center for a possible intoxicated driver. An investigation was conducted, and one female arrested for DUI. A report was filed.

8:55 a.m. Brookings Police officers arrested one female on a warrant.

10:33 a.m. Brookings Police located an individual who had an outstanding warrant on the 100 block of Second Street South. A report was filed.

11:46 a.m. Brookings Police responded to the 900 block of 25th Avenue for an unattended death. A report was filed.

3:05 p.m. A welfare check was called in for two juveniles. The information was referred to the Department of Social Services.

5:05 p.m. Sgt. Larsen took a report of possible identity theft. The incident is currently under investigation.
