Sioux Valley and Brookings remained at the No. 2 spot in their respective classes in the new South Dakota Prep Media Football Poll that was released Monday.
The Bobcats suffered their first loss of the season to Sioux Falls Roosevelt, but still earned 79 points to stay at No. 2 in Class 11AA. Watertown received all 22 first-place votes and is still No. 1. Brookings will welcome Tea Area to Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium on Friday night at 7 p.m. The Titans (4-1) are now ranked No. 4 in Class 11AA.
Sioux Valley improved 5-0 this past Friday after a dominating victory over Deuel and remained at No. 2 in Class 11B. The Cossacks received one of the 22 first-place votes. Winner received the other 21 first-place votes and is still at No. 1. The Cossacks will travel to Flandreau on Friday. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Elkton-Lake Benton had the week off and remained at No. 3 in the Class 9AA poll. The Elks had 65 points. Parkston is No. 1 and had 19 first-place votes and Hamlin sits at No. 2 and received the other three first-place votes. The Elks (5-0) play at Garretson on Friday at 7 p.m.
Oldham-Ramona Rutland received one vote in the Class 9B poll. The Raiders (4-2) lost to Castlewood 52-0 over the weekend and host Colman-Egan on Friday at 7 p.m.
